Dúo Levante

Alberto Picó and Carla Gómez are two young musicians who pursued their piano studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Murcia and Alicante, respectively. In 2021, they completed together the Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Music Performance and Research. Thanks to this shared experience and their passion for making music together, they founded this duo.

At just 28 years of age, they are building a remarkable career both in the field of teaching and as performers.

Together, they present concerts featuring a highly versatile repertoire, spanning from the 18th century to the present day. The aim of this project is to enjoy, share, and promote music for piano four hands.

Musical Projects:

Tragedy & Tango: A program featuring works from the Romantic period and the 20th century. The first half moves from Schubert’s delicate Fantasy for four hands to Brahms’s vibrant Hungarian Dances. The second half presents Poulenc’s Sonata for four hands and concludes with a selection of pieces from Piazzolla’s History of the Tango. A journey through the European classical tradition and the richness of the Argentine tango.

Around Piazzolla: A concert dedicated exclusively to the Argentine composer A. Piazzolla, performing four-hand piano arrangements of his History of the Tango and The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. These works embody the evolution of tango, where the composer masterfully fuses tradition with innovation.
